Resurrection Street Ministry (RSM) is a multifaceted collaborative nonprofit organization focusing on human service needs. Our primary areas of service are for Veterans, Senior Citizens, Homeless, Low Income Families and Group Home Residents in Arizona. We also provide non-emergency transportation to Homeless, Low Income, and Disabled Veterans to their clinics, appointments, and local service organizations. In addition, our services include clothing donation and providing household items as needed through our S.T.U.F.F. Thrift Store in Mesa, AZ.
As a faith based organization it is our mission to demonstrate God’s love by providing food and relief for Veterans, Senior Citizens, and others in our community who are in need; to nurture and strengthen families either directly or in partnership with other agencies. As instructed by the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17).
RSM began as a street outreach ministry in 1984 in Sandy, Utah. In 1996, a group home (Streets of Joy) was incorporated and in 2002 it evolved into Resurrection Street Ministry. Since then, RSM has developed programs to help residents of Arizona in need with a multitude of opportunities and referrals as God instructs us to 'care for our neighbors.'
Bill Berry started ministering on the streets of Utah in 1984 after coming into a personal relationship with Jesus. As an Army Airborne, Vietnam Veteran, Purple Heart recipient Bill focused on helping fellow Veterans with the struggles they have with life's issues. As a former drug addict, having served time in jail, being homeless and hungry his passion to help comes with a real identity to those areas of life others struggle with.
